There are three membership options for LGBTQ+ adopters/foster carers/special guardians, or LGBTQ+ people who want to do so.

• Bronze memberships for those at the start of their adoption or fostering journey
• Silver for people on their adoption/fostering journey with an agency that doesn't subscribe to New Family Social, or who have yet to sign up with an agency but want access to more of our services
• Gold for those in assessment with an agency that subscribes to our services / who are approved and parenting with an agency that does subscribe to our services

• If you choose to adopt/foster with an agency that subscribes to New Family Social's services, you can convert your Bronze membership level to Gold 

Silver memberships

For

• LGBTQ+ people on their adoption/fostering journey with an agency that doesn't subscribe to New Family Social, or who have yet to sign up with an agency but want access to more of our services

• Monthly invitations to New Family Social's introduction to adoption/fostering webinar

• Access to our Connect service which offers online peer support to Gold and Silver members
• Peer support in your pocket via our WhatsApp groups for LGBTQ+ adopters and foster carers across the UK

• Access to our directory of subscribing agencies that welcome enquiries from LGBTQ+ applicants
• Invitation to volunteer or attend New Family Social summer camp
• Weekly emails curating adoption/fostering news or announcements from New Family Social
• Access to exclusive online content

Cost

• £90 per year per member

Useful to know

• Silver member applications are subject to identify verification by the adoption/fostering agency you signed with or, if you are not yet with an agency, a DBS and ID check.
• Silver members have much the same access as Gold members, but individuals that have not yet adopted/fostered may be excluded for specific events.
• If you later choose to adopt/foster with an agency that subscribes to New Family Social you can convert your membership to Gold

• LGBTQ+ people who've adopted/foster or are special guardians through one of our subscribing agencies, or who are in the assessment process with one of them

Benefits

• Invitations to online and in-person events. These include adults-only nights out, activities with the children, expert webinars and online social evenings. There are also online events for Gold members with particular interests or characteristics, such as the solo members group, the group for members who are neurodiverse or who parent neurodiverse children and the trans members group. 
• Peer support in your pocket via our WhatsApp groups for LGBTQ+ adopters and foster carers across the UK
• Access to our Connect service which offers online peer support to Gold and Silver members
• Access to our Peer mentoring service that pairs LGBTQ+ members new to adoption and fostering with others who've been on the journey longer
• Weekly emails curating adoption/fostering news or announcements from New Family Social
• Online members' directory allowing contact with other LGBTQ+ adopters and foster carers near you
• Invitation to volunteer or attend New Family Social summer camp
• Mediation support if issues relating to the member's sexual orientation or gender identity arise between the member and their agency

• All Gold member applications are subject to identity verification by the adoption/fostering agency you are signed with. Once received, full access to Gold membership services is available.

• Invitations to weekly online briefings on a range of topics relevant to LGBTQ+ adoption and fostering
• Ability to submit events to New Family Social's online calendar of recruitment events for LGBTQ+ people interested in adoption and fostering
• Invitation to New Family Social's annual LGBTQ+ adoption and fostering sector briefing
• Ability to participate in LGBTQ+ Adoption & Fostering Week and early access to other New Family Social campaigns
• Discounts on training provided by New Family Social
• Ability to directly refer LGBTQ+ applicants, adopters, foster carers and special Guardians to New Family Social
