Today’s meet-up

These are extracts from a recent conversation on our message board:

First of all I wanted to say what a great idea this group is. I’m so happy we heard about it. From reading through the very first thread I came across I knew this was going to be helpful.  It seems that others are going through or have gone through the same thoughts we are currently having – are we doing the right thing? Will we be able to cope? It’s great to read the advice given by all.

Hi all,
I just wanted to drop a quick line to say how great it was to catch up with everyone today. It is so encouraging to see so many of you guys with your fabulous children and let’s face it we all need a bit of encouragement when the assessment seems to drag on! Thanks to all the guys who shared advice and info, it is greatly appreciated. It was good to see your family book today Paul so thanks for sharing that with us. Also we would just like to say thanks to Mike R and to David and Simon for dishing out some wise words – it all goes towards helping make the whole process a little less daunting. Good luck to Darren and Steve for their panel meeting tomorrow.
Take care all

Colin and Patrick beat us to it! We also wanted to say how much we all enjoyed yesterday’s meet. We enjoyed speaking to everyone and it was great to see so many families together. It certainly made us feel less isolated and we look forward to meeting everyone again soon and maybe some of our closer neighbours even sooner. We are already planning for the next meet in August! Our boys especially wanted to say what a fantastic place the park is and how much they enjoyed meeting other kids – especially Mark and Ben and Alan.
Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer and see you again soon.
Peter, John, Adam and Daniel xxxx

Our sentiments exactly. Was great to meet you all and put faces to names. Was great to pick people’s brains and see people with their kids! Look forward to many more meet ups. Just wondering why so many
of you are called David!!
