The Adoptables are recruiting! (Coram)

The Adoptables is a peer network of adopted young people aged 13-25. They share their experiences as adopted young people at home, in school and in post-adoption support, with professionals, schools and prospective adopters. By sharing these experiences they can increase awareness of adopted young people’s needs and improve the experiences of younger adopted children. You can find more information on the Coram website.

The Adoptables are also involved in a project with the new London Regional Adoption Agency. If you’re aged 13-25  – and based in London – you’ll have the chance to have your say on what the agency should offer young people, in terms of social activities and support.

If you’re not based in London, the Adoptables are also recruiting those aged16+ to join their ambassador programme.

They also eat a lot of pizza, go on weekend residentials and listen to a lot of music. They provide training opportunities such as public speaking and media training with the potential of becoming an ambassador. You can commit as much or as little time as you can and it’s a great way to meet new friends.

If you want to get involved or need some more information please contact Lindsay McDougall at lindsay.mcdougll@coram.org.uk or call 020 7239 4999.
