Improving LGBT Adoption

1 in 10 adoptions in England in 2016 were to same-sex couples. But research shows that LGBT people have a high expectation of discrimination on the grounds of their sexual orientation, gender identity or both. Despite legal protections, LGBT people going through the adoption process report harrowing instances of discrimination both during the approval process and then the matching process.

To help adoption agencies across the country improve how they work with LGBT people, New Family Social will provide free training to adoption agency staff across England, funded by the Department for Education. Follow the links below to find out more about your nearest conference.
