If you enjoy directly working with LGBT people and supporting people with adopted or fostered children, we might have the role for you. New Family Social is recruiting a new volunteer coordinator!

This is a key post in our small staff team, responsible for directly engaging our LGBT members – all of whom are adopters or foster carers, or are going through the process to do so. Our volunteer coordinator recruits, trains and supports our volunteers – particularly our regional coordinators – to make sure that a wide calendar of events exists for our members. The volunteer coordinator also works closely with our corporate partners, developing New Family Social’s work with external volunteers.

As the vast majority of New Family Social’s volunteers are our LGBT members, it is essential that their voices are reflected in all the charity’s project plans. This post also works with our adoption and foster care agency partners to help them secure LGBT volunteers and representation when needed.
